Slight siren noise

Featured Replies

Not sure if it’s a worry or not, the fabia has a slight siren noise at low rpm, like 1500-2000rpm, then goes after that, not sure if it’s the turbo spooling or a boost leak, the turbo is new (replacement CHRA Cartridge) with egr delete and FMIC, not sure if it’s just the noise of the air whooshing through the hard pipes? It happened as soon as turbo was fitted again, not sure if it’s something to worry about or not

The lower boost pipe intercooler->turbo popped off today too and noticed there was a fair bit of oil dripping from the lower Boost pipe. Car has elephant mod and catch tank, so surely there shouldn’t be no oil?! Worried. I drove it back without the boost pipe about 5 miles as had no tools on me however the intercooler side after where it popped off was bone dry, guessing the oil is because the car was making zero boost and just spat into the pipes?

My jeep patriot sounded like an ambulance folk told me as I drove around. Got it replaced and it was all ok.
