New tax classes

Featured Replies

Morning all . Has anyone got any idea how the mk1 Fabia VRS will be affected by the new tax rules?

Other than any VED increase that the budget announced then in no way as not first registered after April 2017,

or after April 2018 when current new diesels on sale that do not have Real World testing will

go up 1 VED band. so a 2.0TDI Euro 6 first year VED will go from £200 to £500.

The 1.6 TDI Euro 6 will go up £20.

My Direct Debit VED on my 1999 Petrol 1,298 cc has gone up from £12.68 a month to £13.12 from April.

As above.

M1 Fabia VRS now costs £150 due to budget rise already implemented.

Ah so nothing worth worrying about ... thanks chaps ..

@kevberlin - Interesting; I pay VED by monthly DD, and haven't had a notification of an increase...

I taxed mine last week Ken (after recovering it from my son 4rs down the line) and it was £150.

Perhaps it will increase for direct debit payers on the “anniversary” date, if you know what I mean.

KenONeill,

Unless your current VED expires at the end of the month you will not have an increase notification, you have your 12 payment details.

The increase will be on your renewal.

The DVLA Auto Renewed mine 2 days ago from the 1st March and showed the DD increase, even though the car shows as MOT'd to 1st, March but it failed last Monday

and has not been retested yet.
