Hi there,

I would like to change my headlight bulbs H7,i am not sure how to remove the the bulb because I don't want to force it just incase I break it.

I have downloaded the photo if anyone can direct me please.

Grab hold of the connector, push lightly forward and twist anticlockwise (looking from the rear to the front). They can be quite tight to twist, to overcome the locking tabs.

 

To remove the bulb from the connector, a small screwdriver to lever it out a bit first.

 

Assembly the reverse, twisting clockwise until it clicks into position.

 

Don't touch the glass of the new bulb with your fingers as body oils can sometimes reduce the life of the bulb. If you do touch it, clean the glass with a solvent, such as isopropyl alcohol, brake cleaner or other to remove the fingerprints.

If you are changing, have you planned the new bulbs? I have tried Osram Nightbreakers and they are nice... Better then standard but I since replaced them with LED bulbs that are nicer still. Nice and white and fairly bright. Had to swap the metal clip too but that was easy enough to do. Cost around £20 the pair, bulbs and clips. I am waiting on replacement rubber covers as I didn't want the old ones to block the little fans but disnt want to cut holes in my existing ones so I can return to "Factory" Easy enough, too!

Depending on the car you may find it easier to undo the fuel filter to access the bulb on the drivers side

That was sidelights, rear tail lights etc. I got ten. All items from Ebay. Key in those titles and it should take you straight to each seller.

I am also waiting for a pair of these to arrive from a different seller. I paid £4.18 for a pair. They will replace the original flat ones, which I will keep rather then cut, so as to be able to restore to stock, should the need arise. I could have just cut a hole in the back with a circular hole cutter to let the LED fan keep the units cool but preferred to get these larger, cupped caps.
