I have sourced a replacement mirror unit off ebay. Is there a how to guide on fitting it

So from the lack of replies i take it i'm the first person to have smashed a wing mirror. Thats some achievement for an old model.

Even searching youtube has not  brought anything worthwhile  up.

Will have to see if i can find a skoda specialist now who's not going to charge a fortune.

On the pre FL, if you take the door card off there are three bolts as I recall and its fairly straightforward. The wiring plug disconnects at the door controller and you just plug the new one in and bolt it on with the existing bolts. I would imagine the FL is similar and there should be a guide on removing the door card on here or Youtube 

Yup, FL is the same.

 

Remove door card.

Disconnect wiring.

Unbolt wing mirror.

Replace it.

Put everything back together!

How does the door card come off

If I remember correctly, there are some bolts under the handle and clips around the edge.

 

There are probably some guides on YouTube otherwise official workshop info can be accessed via Erwin for a small fee.

It is a while since i did this but there are screws in the handle and behind the mini speaker as I recall. Then its  case of prising off the door clips around the perimeter using a plastic trim tool. You may need to buy some replacement clips but they are cheap on eBay.

ARe the clips just listed as door trim clips
