Which fuse to use for dashcam

Featured Replies

This is probably pretty simple for anyone with experience of electrics, I however can't wire a plug, well, I can wire a plug, but usually it doesn't work :(

I've got an 'add a fuse' and managed to get the dashcam working, but it doesn't turn off with the ignition, and remains on (like the cigarette sockets do)

could anyone recommend a suitable fuse for this use ?

mant thanks

What number is it? (For the benefit of future searchers)

The usual 'go to' fuse is the rear wiper but I would be interested to know if there is a spare empty fuse that works.

Typo

I used the bottom left empty spot in the fusebox (traditional size fuses not the mini ones) , Its an ignition live so only powers once the car is started

To change subject slightly but not. I used 12v to 5v dual USB converters wired into my radio loom. gives me a usb to power dashcam and also mood LED in footwells.
