I will need two new tyres soon and dont want  to spend a fair bit getting premium as I dont plan on keeping the car more than another year. So I have been looking around  and have found some Maxxis tyres at my local independent. I know nothing at all  about this make and would like to know how they wear, fuel consumption with them, wet handling etc. The price at my local independent is under £60 each fitted all inclusive and thats a great price as far as I am concerned but I  equally dont want a tyre that will give me problems. I have a 2013 Fabia estate TSI and currently have Continental Contact 2 tyres and the fronts have done 22800 but the cheapest price I can find is over £80 fitted which I definitely do not want to spend. I would like to hear from any contributors who have run this brand. Thanks.

Well established worldwide tyre manufacturer.

My local tyre retailer rates them highly.

I buy them. I like them. Sensible tyre at sensible money.
