Refitting Hatch Trim

Featured Replies

Whilst investigating a rattle in the boot, I took the hatch trim off to see if it was that (It wasn't). I've taken it off before to change the wiper motor, many years ago, but this time can't fathom out how you put it back on. I can't seam to put the sides back.

Any tips.

It's difficult trying to line up the metal clips with the holes in the boot lid. You just have to fiddle with it until you get it, and it needs a good thumping to engage them. Don't forget to get the pull strap through the hole in the trim before fitting it.

Thanks, Yep I'd remembered about the strap. What the problem is slotting the curved edge back to the window. Once the left hand side is in (Cable side) I can't get the right side in. Tried moving up and down the side with no effect.

Did mine the other day. I had to get the wire side in and then bend the plastic on the other side to get it in place.
