EGR valve issues

Had an issue starting the car Thisbe morning, it’s been sat for four days with the snow, just obviously rubbish glow plugs. 

But this lead lead me on to wonder, how many people have had EGR Albee issues? Also At what mileage and car age? 

Ive got a 63 plate Vrs estate diesel, 43k on the clock. 

Just wondered how many issues there is out there and what everyone paid to fix them??
