Neighbour scaped car

Featured Replies

A friend has had their car damaged by her neighbour. He did the deed, then went and got his bumper repaired / replaced immediately after. What would you do in her situation (legally).

Is there any proof?

If so, report to the police, leaving the scene of an accident

That's what she is doing. My question probably could down to" is the circumstantial evidence of obviously new bumper and where he was parked sufficient for prosecution?" Private prosecution write be more likely IMO.

Confession / Proof / Evidence, a witness, someone that was there or it is on camera, if none of that then no Private Prosecution can happen.

Paint stripper over his car followed by ritualistic burning.

Admittedly there are moral and legal issues with that advice.

But if he's had the damage to his repaired quick and there are no other witnesses or evidence she's probably stuffed really.

I think burning him would go down well with all his neighbours! He's a weapons grade **** by all accounts.
