Only just heard this noise today, a scraping/squealing/grinding noise when turning a corner or round a mini roundabout. 

 

I drove 200miles yesterday with no noise at all, seems to be coming from the front wheel area, before o go jacking the car up in the rain and dark, any ideas what it could be?

 

Had new front pads and disks a few months ago, so I wouldn’t expect it to be grinding pads, also it’s only when turning not when braking.

Wheel bearing or a small stone stuck in the caliper are possibilities.

Mileage is only 30k

Mystery over, took it for a spin, heavy on the brakes, noise stopped. Must have just been a trapped stone, cheers everyone
