Panic Trigger ? With VCDS / OBD

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Is there any capacity for enabling a "panic" mode that will trigger the alarm on my vRS through the remote in either VCDS programming or elsewhere? It would be handy for ****ing people off from nearby and also give us the ability to attract attention if in the car and need assistance. Nb, the neighbourhood isn't as dodgy as this request implies. My theory is that if you have it (or is possible) you won't need to use it.

Cheers

when you say "****ing people"   what you really mean is the wife? :D

:D she's driving it more often than me

If in the car sound the horn, keep pushing it,

put on the hazard warning lights and shout help help help, and call 999 on the phone.

No idea, but I will say I had this feature on my Volvo C30 and I never used it. It’s not something I’ve ever thought about needing. If it is doable though, do come back and let us know in case someone wants to do it. I would guess you’d need a North American spec key with the panic button though.

Will do. I imagined it may be possible with a standard key in a similar way to opening/ closing all the windows by holding down a key on the remote.

and i didnt think he did irony....
