New LED DRL not working

Featured Replies

Hi,

So i had problems with older LED bulbs, where drivers side was working correctly and passengers side was not that bright anymore. So yesterday i bought BA15S bulbs and they seem little bit longer (LED side, not socket side). I replaced them yesterday but since it was dark enough the DRL didn't start to work, so I had to wait untill the morning to see if they work. Today driving to work i found out that none of those two LEDs are not working. Might be that those bulbs are just not ment for it or what the issue might be? Bulbs i bought are in the attachment.

Any help appreciated, thanks!

I am not 100% sure but perhaps the polartity +/- is wrong for the DRL  sockets, LED bulbs are usually polarity sensitive and ordinary filament bulbs are not, try each bulb on the car battery. This is all I can think of but it maybe the cause. Better quality bulbs usually have internal circuits to allow for use in reverse polarity cases. There are documented issues on this forum about this reverse polarity for these issues on other models so why not the Superb?

Good luck Roy
