Venom hybrid stage 2 anyone had one

Featured Replies

Long story short it's to late IV already got one ....

But in this endless trap of hybrids

I'm starting wish I kept my good old trusty VB turbo and not wasted my money on a expensive paper weight.

After getting ripped off from a well known tuner. I dipped my fingers into remapping my own car to good results.

My VB tune was brilliant next no lag full boost at 2000rpm building nicely from 1700 not to aggressively asciv still got a stock clutch

Running 1.7 bar to 3500 and 73 mg str midrange was harty 155bhp wheel at 3000rpm

Then droping boost of at 4000 to 1.6 1.5 to the limiter so healthy 185 190 hp with 34deg duration

If you can't tell I miss it.

Now this thing is a flipping nightmare

Anyone fitting a gt17 hybrid buy a mppsv13 and put a stock map on it straight away

As you boost if mapped is possible to be 2 bar +

Depending on where the turbo is from and what fuel your map is scaled for

After weeks of messing I'm finally getting somewhere with the map as with the stage 2

As I'm finding you need to mess with the closed loop PID map even with a low boost request and stock smoke map from low rpm as otherwise boost is off the scale...

So I'm now starting to worry how long this thing is going to last.....

Anyone had one on long term

And had any turbo reliability problems

When I finally get the thing to reliably hold on requested boost I'm going to be running 1.9 bar so should be good for 210 bhp

Anyone had one ? How long did it last ???
