I am looking for some advice on the best towbar for my 63 reg Skoda Superb Laurent and Klement estate to tow a Bailey Pageant Monarch 2 berth caravan.  Appreciate any advice. Thanks 

 

OE detachable towbar and Skoda or Westfalia electrics.

Westfalia detachable towbar and dedicated electrics. Check PF Jones for a price. They have fitters throughout the country if you can’t do it yourself. 

If you can get the OE towbar it will fit into the moulded tool holder in the spare wheel. If not the Westfalia will fit, if you trim the holder a bit.

Mines had the stand alone electrics but replaced with dedicated so that it would use the Trailer Stability Program  

The VAG electrics are a little bit nicer since the controller is accessible with VCDS and can be configured for stuff like deciding when the split charging pins should be activated. The part number from Skoda is EEA800103EL.
