Windscreen Camera Question

Featured Replies

Hello all, I have a 2014 Elegance and presume the sensor facing upwards is for light and wipers but the other one facing forward, is that just for High Beam Assist or can it used for other functions?

I've not seen options for lane assist etc.

I assume the last sensor on the bottom bumper grille (radar type) is for the collision assist.

There are a few extras on the car compared to regular Elegance spec but the dealer knowledge isn't really there to tell me exactly what :)

Cheers.

I've not seen that middle one before.  Mine has auto lights, wipers, high beam and lane assist.

The auto light sensor is built into back of rear view mirror (it's a sensor not a camera).  The wiper sensor is on the  front Window and so is the lane assist camera - other than the auto light sensor it's all built onto the window - pic below.  I don't know how the high beam assist works or what it uses.

If you have high beam assist but not lane assist then it uses the smaller lowline camera like Plantman has - it's what I have on my 2015 Elegance too.

BTW the radar in the front bumper is also used by the ACC as well as the front assist.
