Window Regulator Replacements - Superb 1.4 diesel Saloon.

Anyone have guides on how to replace the regulators?  Both my fronts went at the same time, bought the kits to replace but didn't realise how much of a pig of a job it was.  Have managed to replace the passenger side first, but went straight away, sounds like the cables are mashing up again.  Have found a guide on how to remove the door cards, that's the easy bit, but nothing on taking off the metal plates.  

Also, I disconnected everything in sight and now my airbag light is on.  Anyway to reset this without going to the garage?
