This is a question to Pacific Blue owners.

 

Do you find this paint shade shows every mark and scratch?

 

I bought our Fabia back in January as our second ever brand new car and I was really impressed with the colour when I saw it for the first time, now 3 months down the line I am less than impressed, ever since the dealer stuck the Fabia through a automatic car wash at two weeks old while in for a routine repair the paintwork seems to show every mark, even getting the damage caused by the dealer fixed I keep seeing swirl marks, scratches and it disheartens me a bit. 

 

Just recently someone has pushed a trolly into the car at my local supermarket and another scratch has appeared on the other side.

 

Currently been using the blue T cut, wax and polish and it’s gradually getting better to look at but I still knows it’s there.

 

Is there any other products I can try like Autoglym SRP or wax?

 

Much as I love the Fabia now the teething problems are sorted, it’s most likely my last Dark coloured car I will own.

Meguiars ultimate compound is worth a try, it even has a guarantee that it will remove swirls or money back

Ag srp is also ok

I’d be kicking the dealers door in demanding he put it right, however since you’ve used T-Cut on it, they’ll just fob you off. 

Sounds like the dealer putting it through a car wash is what has buggered the paintwork. I had a black Polo for a couple of years and that was covered in swirls from just washing and polishing the damn thing. If your on Facebook, go on the Detailing Addicts page and you’ll also get some helpful suggestions. AG SRP is good stuff but needs regular reapplications. I am sure you’ll get more helpful suggestions than mine!

Dealer is is aware that the damage has been caused by them, and to be fair they have repaired the damage they caused like denting the bumper and respraying it and the door they damaged as well. Currently considering using another Skoda Dealer for servicing.

If if you actually see any of the dealers cars in the showroom, every model has swirl marks on them, by putting them through automatic car washes.

Name and shame this shoddy Skoda dealer. Also , applying waxes will mask the scratches only for a wash or two then they will re-appear. Unfortunately it sounds like you will have to pick up the tab and visit a detailing garage as threadbear mentioned and get it looked properly  and polished or even compounded to put right again. Ask about ceramic coatings if you intend on keeping the car. Remember, dark colours are the hardest to maintain but by far the best to look at when that glossy shine is turning heads. Good look skodaboy.

Planning on keeping this car for at least 3 possibly 4 years.

the blue is a soft and very undurable paint -  best stay away from skoda flat colours -  metallic seems to be tougher.

Heard from someone recently this shade of blue on any make of car is known as doom blue.
