One touch window button

Recommended Posts

He new to the site, just purchased a new Skoda Fabia mk3 hatch.

can anyone tell me if it’s possible to have changed via a reprogram of the ecu the drivers site up/down window button from having to hold it to get it to go up and down to a one touch and it goes all the way up or all the way down?

This is one of the things I miss. I believe the only way you can get one touch drivers window is to have all 4 windows electrically operated and reprogramming the switch is not an option. I hope this omission by Skoda will not spoil your new car experience :) I am sure it won't. Enjoy your new car I have had mine for 3 years apart from servicing the most expensive thing I have bought is a new tyre after an unrepairable  puncture Joe

It's something I miss from my last car but I've had to get used to it.

Whether a rumour or not,the facelift is supposed to have one touch even if the four window option isn't taken.

If a car has one touch windows then the window control also needs an anti trap sensor.

The sensor is there to notice anything in the way of the window going up.

This is to stop you putting your head out of the window and then pushing the one touch window up button.

If it didn't have the extra sensor your head would be chopped off.  :o

Thanks for your replies ,

im totally loving the car and you’re right this won’t hinder me liking the car it was just a useful thing to have.

i wasn’t a fan of the mkii shape sorry!! Though I wish I’d bought one sooner if it wasn’t for the lease on the old car still running.

Wouldn't look so bad on a red Monte though would it?

Had someone who said that he couldn't accidentally lock his car keys in his car.

So I opened the electric window, shut the door and then pushed the key fob lock button.

Then the car locks the doors and automatically shuts the open window.

At this point I throw the car key through the closing window. :D

He found out that the electric window had an anti trap sensor the hard way. :crying:

Thanks AG Falco

I took the safer option :) locked the car then opened the boot and put the keys in then closed it boot would not lock wish it had worked on my old Mk1 estate locked the car opened the boot chucked my jacket in and as the boot door clicked shut the penny dropped ide locked the keys  in the car had to get my daughter to bring the spare keys at the time i was 30 miles away Joe

At work we had a delivery van where you would get out of the van and go to the back door and open it.

Then lock the van with the key fob, get in the back, pick up the delivery, get out and kick the back door shut and locked.

So someone ( not me ) put the van key down on the floor of the van while picking up the delivery.

Got out of the van did the delivery then found he had no van key.

I then drove the 50 miles with the spare set to open the van back up.

The boss said he would talk :angry::angry::angry::angry: to the next person that did that.

Two weeks later I am doing deliveries and the paranoia about the lost key is still fresh in my mind.

After driving away from one delivery I suddenly think where is the van key!

After checking all my pockets I decide that I have left them back at the last delivery.

So I turn the van round and head back,

then I have a brainwave, what about the key in the ignition.:blush

Thanks AG Falco
