Limp mode help

Featured Replies

So was driving up a motorway and slowed down to go to a service station and  the Engine  light on along with flashing glow plug. And engine  fault workshop message. Then in to to limp mode.  Guess it could be a number of things. Car has about 60.000 on it has has not has the ea189 update.

Anyone any ideas  what could cause this. . Someone suggested a E something valve.  Seam to happen when I lift the accelerator. Happened about 4 times in an hour.

Thanks

EGR? It could be clogged, but highly unlikely with only 60.000 miles ... it might be the diesel quality? Probably by using VCDS or VAG-COM you could get a more accurate error than what the dash is capable of letting you know.

  • 3 weeks later...

Just bought my Superb last week and this happened to me within hours of gettint home, did a code read myself and got a P2563 code, this turned out to be the turbo actuator, very common problem, Although mine was fixed by the dealer, this is not a very expensive part.

Jus had similar fault on my 2012 Superb light came on, then went into limp mode to late to phone dealer now car starts, runs for 2 seconds then cuts out now bank holiday dealer not open any help with what problem is would be most appreciated
