1.9 TDi idle speed issue

Featured Replies

Been noticing my idle speed keeps getting stuck between 1000/1500rpm on my pd105. Anyone else experienced this or knows what could be causing it? Doesn’t do it all the time but it’s becoming more regular. A quick blip of the throttle and it usually returns to normal

I had this problem. The pedal looks like a fly by wire pedal.  Mine would tick over at 1100 rpm. If I put my toe underneath and put upwards pressure it would go back to normal. I squirted the pivot part of the assembly with WD40 and worked the pedal up and down for the WD40 to work its way in. I think it took a couple of days to work the WD40 around the pedal assembly and returned to normal and has been fine since. Be careful not to get any on the toe of the pedal.

Interestingly I tried this earlier, the pedal returns to its proper place but lifting the pedal back that little bit more literally 1/2mm it returned to normal
