Hi,

 I am a relatively new owner of a 65 plate (2015MY) Octavia vRS tsi dsg, loving the car and obligatory showroom pic is attached because its not that clean anymore and it really is meteor grey not white lol.

 

But unfortunately I do have to fit a towbar for carrying bikes and pulling the dump trailer, I have been looking at the Witter detachable flange towbar but the specification states it is not compatible with Black Line model. 

 

So here is the dilemma, I know my car has the black pack (plus I believe) but I can not find any information on a Octavia III Black Line.

 

I could easily make the assumption that the Black Line model does not exist for the Octavia III but was hoping someone could help out a new owner with this query.

A blackline is an SE based model that has a body kit. I have a witter fixed swan neck bar on my vRS, fits fine. All vRS towbars are interchangeable

@SashaGrace is mistaken, the backline was a Mk2 derivative which has not as yet been used for the Mk3.

 

The SE based model was called the "Black Edition" & just too upset my CDO ( thats OCD only in the right order) they produced it in "white" as well grrrrrr

Yeah, that’s the one, black edition, black line, I get them mixed up, but on the Mk3 there’s one of them with a deeper rear bumper skirt that will present issues when fitting towbars. vRS wise, they all fit. Witter also use the same part number for an Audi A3 btw. BE is a nice body kit considering though

Thanks both for the clarification, now to find some one locally who would be willing to do the adaptations for me.

Wouldn't have thought the rear valance will present any more issues that the standard valance.

 

It's just a square cut hole in the very under side, it's both small & not visable

Is that a Westfalia one? On my Witter one with the folding the electrics the cut has to be huge!! It works though, which is the main thing I suppose
