Skoda Connect App - Alarm triggered

Featured Replies

Couple of days ago I received 4 emails to say thay my alarm had been triggered (all emails relate to the same event at 1308 hrs) staing that the alarm had been triggred due to activity on outer shell.

I didn't pick the email up for about 1 hour but at the time I was only 50m from the car (in a n office with the windows open) and I'm sure I never heard an alarm.

When I returned to the car, it seemed fine, no damage or anyting unusual, no messages in the car.

Has anyone experienced similar? Are there any known faults or false alarms? Would the alarm have  "gone off" if there was "activity on the outer shell" or would it only sound if entry was gained?

thanks

I've had this once when I was parked in a shopping centre car park. I can only assume that someone nudged the car (no visible marks though) as it's never happened before or since.

Doesn’t the red LED on the drivers door flash more rapidly if it’s been triggered?

The App notification works pretty well, So I’d expect your car was triggered

I have not had this but I was concerned to see the app said my car was unlocked the other day.  A quick check confirmed it was locked however.

With a new car I am a bit paranoid about  being locked or not especially as I wallked off on my first parking thinking it was locked and it was not....however the connect app was right when I looked 5 mins walk down the road (I went straight back) BUT I have learnt subsequently you must refresh the locked/unlocked status in the vehical screen first before believing it...it can take a min or so to update for me.

Yes very true, I had the same so maybe a bug in the app. I’ve certainly not had the alarm notification though unless it has gone off. This was when I left the windows open.
