I'm about to purchase a 2014 Skoda Fabia Black Edition that has bus wheels on it, 17 inch Trinity with low profile tyres, I've seen thicker elastic bands, As most manufactures now charge you extra for a spare wheel but give you a can of crap to re-inflate the tyre, I find that ridiculous and want a spare wheel. I understand a 17in Trinity with tyre will fit in the wheel well but finding one is a chore. Then I'm being told by Skoda that a 15in wheel is available and legal, can this be right?

If anybody on here has a spare wheel and the tool kit I'd be interested.

The Spare that comes with the Fabia that gets one as standard is 195/55 R 15, and that is what is used with a Mk2 vRS Fabia with 205/40 R 17 tyres OEM same as on your Monte Carlo.

Just look for a single Alloy with a 205/40 R 17 tyre if you want that, the For sales or wanted on Briskoda is good.

(Maybe a single Gigaro will do you, but i have just sold the last of the singles i had.)

Thanks for the reply Offski. Can't believe we have to go through all this **** because manufacturers just want to squeeze more money out of Joe Public. I have never heard anything positive about that gunk junk they put in place of a proper spare.

You get the benefit from them having squeezed the governments / us, 

no standard fit Spare Tyre and cars tested without optional extras so a lower kerb weight and Implausible / irregular Co2 g/km test results and low VED bands.    Then people can have optional extras like spares, and passengers and luggage, a roof box and towbar / caravan towed behind.
