Kessy problem on brand new car

Featured Replies

Hi

I got my brand new Skoda Fabia SE L yesterday but can't get the Kessy system to open or lock the doors.  Do I have to activate it as its new or wait for the battery to get fully charged?

The guy delivering it had no clue about the car so basically gave me the keys and left.

It is a lease car and was delivered from Doncaster but I am in Edinburgh. I assume if its still not working I just go to local dealer who will fix it under warranty?

Anyone have any tips?

Thanks

John

Are you sure it has Full Kessy (Front Doors and Ignition button), or just Kessy Go (Ignition button only) ?

The front door handles should have a little horizontal, oblong indent - where a door lock barrel might have been ( in olden times !). The indent is about 3mm wide by about 17mm long. If that’s there, then it’s got full Kessy.

Then - it looks like visit to local Skoda dealer.

If car doesn’t have the door handle indents , then you just gotta do “old skool pressing the key fob button “. !

Hi, thanks for this.  I don't have the little indents on the door handle so must just have Kessy go, not the lock and unlock version.

Thanks for solving this for me!
