A warm welcome to the Forum!  How did you find the X trail.  Some of my farmer friends swear by them.

Oldmansomerset - I really liked the Xtrail. It was pretty much bombproof and apart from wearing parts and a wiper motor it never gave any bother at all. I work to the electricity board so it was perfect for hauling test gear anywhere and everywhere and never got stuck no matter where I took it. It was just getting too old for the books at work unfortunately and I fancied something a bit different than the new xtrails.
