K10lbe mk3 VRS

Thought it was about time I started a thread rather than just being a looker.

I'm Jason from Lincolnshire.

Got my VRS days before Christmas and not looked back.

Went for the 184 diesel as I commute so needed something better on fuel and big enough for the little one and weekends away etc.

Found this one at a skoda dealer almost 4hours away ticked most boxes and only had 16k on the clock on a 2015 so was a no brainer, did a deal over the phone and booked a train ticket, arrived at the dealers and couldn't fault anything.

I've not done much with it since having it apart from a few little things as we've had a hectic few months, had a new house built, getting married abroad, honeymoon abroad and a mate's stag do yet again abroad so had limited spare time.

It came with a few goodies, cruise and satnav would of like the 19" extremes but could live without them.

The bits already done-

Black mirror covers.

Black grill surround.

Led bulb upgrade interior.

Led numberplate bulbs.

Led side light bulbs.

Put my private plate on.

Gel number plates.

Debadged the skoda & Octavia badges.

Activated via vcds-
Led rear number plate bulbs.
Both rear fog lights.
Passenger mirror drop in reverse.
Teardrop wipers.
Lap timer.
Refuel quantity

That's it for now, do have a few more ideas in the pipe line.

Remap or dtuk.

Spacers 15&20mm.

H&R 40mm lowering springs.

Superskoda badges.

Afraid I can't help with that mate, a local ish guy did it all for me who I've used before.

Literally followed the instructions for it on here.

Sorry I can't be any more help.

Nice! I've got the same car but a Combi - in Lincs too (Stamford) if you wanted to try out a DTUK box before you bite the bullet

That could be a good idea..

Been thinking lately about a shark stage 1, just about to change my job with a 25 mile commute so better mpg could be ideal with extra poke.

Which one do you have?

You happy with it?

Second unit, How come?

Warranty runs out in dec so not to far away.

What have you got on your mpg from fitting it? Much improvement?

Nothing apart from cleaning and some Bosch wipers.

Insurance is due next month so will be making a decision on route to take with a shark stage1 or a dtuk.

Lowering springs, spacers coming next too.

Had a bath this morning and cleaned the bay up a bit more.

Popped to my local skoda dealer and questioned the corrosion on centre caps and flaking of the gear knob.

They've agreed to change both under warranty which is a bonus.

Just awaiting the parts as the gear knob is on back order.

Awaiting a response from shark aswell for a stage 1.

I've ran some quotes and it doesn't seem insurance companies are overly fond of spacers, who are you insured with with them declared?

Was looking at going with esure on a multi car which has come out cheaper than separate polices declaring a remap and lowering springs fitted just would quote online with spacers?

The offer still stands about the DTUK box. I'd actually like to get a video of them in a little 0-100 run to see how much difference it makes real world.

Also interested to see the springs when you have them on.

Yeah will have to try and get something arranged.

Hopefully shouldn't be to long before they are fitted. I hope haha
