First Skoda

Featured Replies

Hi, I've just bought my first Skoda and I am very impressed. I have changed from a Qashqai which I did like, great 1.6 diesel engine and tech, but the build quality let it down. Mine had to have quite a few things fixed under warranty. The Karoq is however very different. The build quality is excellent and so far haven't found a single fault. Mines an ex demo 2.0 diesel DSG Edition with as far as I can work out the optional heated windscreen and Adaptive Cruise Control. I find it very quiet on the road and the DSG box is excellent. I've only seen one other on the road in the North East. Hopefully Skoda will sort production out soon so others can experience what a great car this is.

Hi welcome to the forum.

Pleased you are enjoying the car. Its great isn't it.

What colour?

I also came from a Qashqai. I didnt think the build quality was too bad, the door didnt close as solidly as the Karoq though.

Missing the birds eye parking cameras, they were great in a car park.

Agree the Karoq is definitely at another level compared to the Qashqai, its feeling its age a bit now.

The boot is massive in comparison as well.

Its Quartz Grey which suits it.

Yes the drivers door on the Qashqai made a different sound to the others. I also thought the 360 cameras were great but getting used to not having them.

Yes the boot is massive in comparison and I do miss the under boot storage but thats only a minor thing. The Karoq has a lot more going for it.
