Exactly the same for me (as I think I said before)!

Everytime I log on here I worry that I'm gonna find out something else is wrong with my car ;) !!!!

PIcking mine up in a bit.

After being inspected, they can't find anything wrong with the foam itself but beleive it to be wrinkling due to a lack of fabric in the cover itself. Covers are going to be replaced.

However, this can't be done today as there is only one cover in stock so one has to come on a back order. Car will have to go back in to have the work done.

So, it's a case of wait and see if the new covers sort things out.

I've also discovered one small wrinkle on the (rear) base of the driver's passenger's seat but am putting this down to constantly having to support bums!

I took my wrinkled VRS back to the dealer today, mentioned the dialogue on this website and they read it for themselves. 3 of my back seat cushions are affected. I took a look at 2 other unregistered VRS's on the forecourt and they both had wrinkly seats. They are going to contact me when they talk to Skoda. Here's hoping !

VRS back home, all dusty after spending a couple of days in the workshop.

Going back in for it's replacement covers once they have arrived.

Nice Freeborn people repaired my scratch in the meanitme though (see 'scratch' thread). Very happy now!!! apart form the fact that I'll have to clean the car again tomorrow that is!

My 55 plater has had this problem from new and I haven't bothered to get it sorted ... it can wait until the 1st year service along with the creaking driver's seat. :(

That might be the first non-06 plate to have this problem reported!

  • 2 weeks later...

Got it aswell.

Car is a 55 Plate first registered Dec 05. But from stock so manufacture date would have been earlier.

Not sure I would have noticed it if not for this thread.

On both rear seats under headrests.
