Elegance questions.

Featured Replies

H,i & welcome to me - coz I am new in here :)

The std factory radio cd thingumy in the Elegance... Does it have a separate CD changer, or do you feed the head multiple discs ?

Does anything worth keeping cool actually fit in the jumbo box ? - (If you turn the heating up can you warm pies in it ;) )

Cheers

Ian

Separate CD changer in the boot

Do people not read there handbooks anymore?

The elegance has a separate cd exchanger that you load six discs into the boot, and it will play another that you load into the slot of actual player in dash.

Haven't actually put anything in the cool box bit yet, but guess it will be good for keeping my choccy bar or two cool on a hot day.

They only gave me a handbook after i'd bought the car.

Sorry, should have said that I don't actually have one yet (and haven't stolen a handbook, or spent 2 hours lounging in a showroom car reading one :P )

Seeing as the Elegance comes loaded with so many toys, it's hard to keep track of all of them and remember what questions to ask the dealer.

At present I am thinking of an Elegance hatch with the leather as the next company car.

Not really -- it contains very little considering the size of the thing. Jumbo on the outside, not the inside. A few CD cases will fit in there, and not much else. Maybe 1 pie, but 2 would be pushing it. Suggest either going on a diet and/or driving on your own and/or sharing your pie with your passenger(s).

The "cooling" or "heating" is simply that the air destined for the rear seats can be diverted into the jumbo box by opening a flap. If you've got the airco set to max cooling, then it will cool; in you've got the temperature set on automatic, 25 degrees, then it will warm whatever is in there to 25 degrees. So it depends on how you like your choccy bars.

TBH I wouldn't even bother keeping CD cases in the jumbo box - I tried that and all they did was rattle and annoy me. Only reason for having it is so you get the centre armrest IMO.

Better to go for the Laurin & Klement, it will only cost

Slot in the dashboard? I haven't found that yet!

Jumbo Box is for my gloves and screen wipes, just about get the Luger in there, and a Roadrunner ACME self erecting 5 star hotel for when it gets late

Oh yeah! Stream radio has single CD player - I suppose for those cars without autochanger. Don't think I'll bother with it - 6 Cds are enough for me - rarely go more than 10 miles!
