New Sportline more problems

Featured Replies

Right i hope someone can help here please...
Today I've found that my useless dealership that i bought my sportline superb from has forgotten to take the factory bump stops off on PDI, also tyre pressure was incorrect at 44psi as opposed to recommended 37psi. It feels better now with correct pressure but still awful like driving without shock absorbers. Did 130+ miles since delivery and was wondering whether i could have caused any damage? I'm taking it in tomorrow and before i kick off i want to get my facts right. I work in a tyre shop so will get lads to check the wheels if they aren't buckled. Anything else to check for?
Many thanks

Just remove the bumper stops, and you are good to go.

Sound will do cheers mate

Request they carry out the PDI again and that an experienced tech does it. Then write an email to the Dealer Principal detailing the issues you’ve had and asking how he or she is going to regain your confidence in their service to date and with the car in general.

Get them to video the PDI being done (plus get them to do and video an inspection service to ensure no damage has been caused by their previous inaction). And I certainly wouldn't expect to pay for my next service if they wanted to retain my custom.

I remember as a kid dropping something in the garage and noticing wood in the rear springs of my old man’s XR3i. I asked if that should be there and I can recall rage in abundance as he called the dealer and asked how they had been missed in the PDI and the 1st service. I think he got the second and third service free back then.

Right so bit of an update... 2 front wheels were buckled and now replaced by dealer. 4 wheel alignment was also carried out by independent garage along with further inspection after i have send email to director of that dealership car is fine finally. and it was the workshop controller who did the PDI !!!
