You should really only use a recirculating DV (dump valve) with the 1.8T engine, not a blow off valve - for reasons which are explained in this article. Follow the advice in that article if you wish to go ahead with a BOV. This article is also an excellent reference for understanding how DVs work and for comparing different types.
