I am thinking of upgrading my suspension on my octavia mk1 vrs.  My last Octavia MK1  has Ap coilovers and suspension was quite firm, probably been too low didn't help.

 

so I am thinking  which coil overs to go for?  budget is up to £450 so but of a tight budget. I am also considering uprated shocks and springs as an alternative to coil overs?

 

opinions please?  lowering springs with shocks or coil overs?

I'm shortly swapping over my cheap Prosport coilovers for some Bilsteins and H&R springs, and I'm not in any doubt these will be night and day with handling.

 

The coilovers aren't low, but they're stiff, bumpy and uncomfortable.
