Skoda Connect registered main user nag dialog

Featured Replies

After a few mins of  starting the vehicle I get the message on screen saying "Welcome to SKODA Connect.  Registered main user: XXXXX" with the  need to press the 'OK' button.   Its got something to do with alternate keys or both keys being present in the vehicle and its damn annoying - Its registered to me but my wife is the main driver.   Any way to prevent this nag message from appearing other than disabling the Connect functionality?

Go to System Settings and do down to mobile data transfer, then change the permissions from Confirm to Allow. I only see this message now when the dealer did a software update and just the once, I tried using a different key and the message did not show albeit I may not have given it enough time, switched back to main key and didn't show.

Thanks, though unfortunately it's already set as "Allow".   Couldn't see any other setting which is confirmation related.

The above worked for me and others but there have been a few members where it has not worked. All I can think of is that the setting is not actually saved, its set as allow but still asking for confirmation so the options would be a reset (pita) or set the option to deactivate, leave for a while (maybe a day or so) and then set it to allow. Long shot but worth a try, I know how annoying the message can get.

If when deactivated, the message still appears this the setting is not making any difference so I would think a reset is the only option.

Hello,

just had the same problem for some time, found this topic, tired the suggestions but it didnt helped.

My solution for it was pretty simple, I connected with bluetooth to the media, played like a song or two and since it doesnt pop the window up!

Hope it will help somebody .

You get this message any time your phone doesn't bluetooth to the car at the start of a journey.
