Hi all can anybody help i have an Octavia estate 1.6 mpi mk2 the problem i have is the car loses power for about a minute and then its fine i have changed the ignition leads and spark plugs but this haven't worked. Can anyone help please 

Just a wild guess - what about fuel filter? Has it been changed recently or there have been years since that?

Forgot to say when it happens the traction control light comes on also the engine management light comes on 

Confirmed coil packs are all ok?

 

I've beeb told that it is unlikely to be the coil pack as it doesn't do often enough buy a mechanic 

Did the mechanic scan for fault codes? High possibility something should have been logged.

Yes but he had an old system it's  booked in to a specialist tomorrow for a full diagnostics
