The symbol for low washer fluid on the dash is acting up on me. 

It only lights up very dim most of the time (it works as it should, only lights up when ignition is switched on and when fluid is low) but the odd time it will be perfect.

I tried a new sensor but it made no difference.

I'm guessing the problem is in the cluster somewhere? Bad connecting in the plug or on the led in the dash?

Anyone any ideas?

It's not a major issue but it kinda annoys me when everything else is working 100%

I had something similar only in a 2000 polo. This was with the dash light for ABS which was slightly illuminated all the time but was bright when it should be.. Couldn't find a fault on checking connectors or scan. As the car was damp inside I suspected the dash and took it out, put it in the airing cupboard for two days and its been fine since. Perhaps the dash circuits were damp or the removal replacement of the plugs sorted it. Whichever it now works as it should.
