Bought just new superb with 6.5 inc swing radio. Ordered extra smartlink from dealer. Dealer ordered activation code from factory and they started to put it in my radio and told that its not possible. Anyone have had similar issues. In catalogue there is clearly stated that you can buy smartlink as extra but now when i have bought it they say it is not possible. Big bummer i would say.

Smartlink only works with certain phones. Our mobiles are recent and the Fabia has Smartlink but neither has the ability to connect. Both work fine with Android Auto in both the Fabia and Superb.

its not an phone issue. Radio is saying i need to activate smartlink please contact local dealer.

What year + spec is your Superb?

 

If you have a UK "S" model, it doesn't say you can add SmartLink/Android Auto/Apple CarPlay , however it does with the Swing on the SE model

 

There may be additional hardware required also - which is only available as a factory build, not an addon option

checked catalogue once more and strange. It says that for active packet you can order smartlink but only for starting bolero radio system. Only thing that bolero starts from ambition. Secondly dealer could order smartlink code for my car from factory. Lets see how this turns out.

Anyway I am from Estonia and the car is new 2018 model  lineup.

I have the same problem. For all models except for the Superb (in certain markets) it is possible to get smartlink as an option on the swing radio.

 

Has anybody some information on this topic?
