hi all just returned to skoda buying a monte carlo estate 110 

come from 3 EV's so hoping economy is decent i recall my spaceback being great on fuel 

moving house and renovating so need something practical

Which engine have you gone for? The 1.0 or the 1.2? Both seem to be pretty good, I'm averaging around 45 mpg in my 1.2 TSI 90 hatch in truly abysmal Manchester traffic. My parents have a Rapid Spaceback 110PS 1.2 TSI and they do a bit better on fuel, simply because they're in rural Wiltshire so they don't get stuck in traffic quite so much! I certainly can't fault the 1.2 TSI engine whatsoever, and I've not heard anyone complaining about the fuel economy on the new 1.0. Other than of course it being nowhere near what the official figures are unless you're in absolutely perfect conditions, but that goes for absolutely everything these days.
