Furby Brake upgrade

Featured Replies

Hi

Can anyone tell me what makes of car came with the big brake package that I can put straight on my Fabia VRS.

I know the TT 312mm will go on, but I dont know what other VAG group cars came with this set up (ie the Golfs or Audis or Seats I guess)

Finally is there a bigger staright swap from a standard car than the 312 package??

Thanks in advance

My Car: Furby with 190BHP remap, eibachs, J&R filter, cupra intake.

A couple off the top of my head

Octavia vRS

Audi S3 (maybe others too?)

Not sure which cupras came with them, or some of the special MkIV Golfs.

There's a Brembo 323mm package that has been fitted before but is more than double the cost of the 312mm package, unless you work for AMD? (;) @ Ross)

Octavia VRs

Golf Anniversary edition

Leon Cupra (non-R version)

312 is the biggest you'll get behind the standard wheels. To go bigger than that you're looking at a new set of alloys and something like a Brembo kit from a Leon CR or Jabba etc.

the brembo's may be twice the price, but they ar emore than twice the performance. Well worth the cash.

I'm not sure I totally agree there. I had 312mm discs with OEM TT calipers on my previous fabia. I now have the 4-pot brembo 323mm discs / calipers. Both use Ferodo DS2500 pads.

And I don't find the brembo performance that much better than the 312mm setup. It may have a tad more bite, but if I were buying again, I'd stick to just 312mm unless you want to show off :D

Thanks for advice I think Ill go for the 312mm version, is it worth getting cross drilled discs or leave them alone??

Also was thinking of fitting the Jabba ARB does anyone know if it gives any really good improvements, I already have eibachs but would like improved cornering abilities on the understeer problem (its that b'stard heavy lump in the front) causing problems on high speed cornering.

Finally is there any meets round my way, im in Fleet (Hampshire) would like to get together with other Skoda heads!!
