Climate NOT in control!!!!

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, I think the fan for the climate control has come off its mounting? Terrible noise when it’s turned on.... from sort of around the glove box region.

just in time for summer... anyone else had issues? It’s done 48,000 mile in my 2013 rapid elegance greentech

Whilst you are awaiting a reply from someone in the know, I have seen others with fabia's etc, mention debris inside the fan and/or a/c system. If possible, take out your pollen filter and slip your hand up inside to feel for leaves and the such-like. You would be surprised at to what CAN get in there and just how much of a racket it can create. Just a starting point!

So a load of leaves fell out but it’s a definite issue with the fan rubbing/catching against something....

Could you actually reach the fan? Making sure it is not running at the time, unless you like small, stumpy blood soaked knuckles! The debris could be wrapped around that or even inside it. I would feel all around, as far as possible, then perhaps leaving (No pun intended) The filter out a few mins, run the fan at its fastest setting for a few mins. Then try feeling around again. Re-fit filter and see if its still up sh-rubbish creek. Oh, and try adjusting all the flaps/settings to move things around a bit.

Thanks for all the advice... I couldn’t get my hand in all that far but it did dump a load of pollen. However, I found the problem... the cap off the suspension top had come off and was agains the fan!

Thanks again... I can stop panicking about the hundreds of pounds it might have cost me... ... I just need to buy a pollen filter as half a tree and a bee house full of pollen has fallen out  ;)
