Removing the Grills in the Bumper

Featured Replies

Can anyone tell me how to remove the grills in the bumper, i have had a look but have to admit i am stumped. Didn't want to just pull it incase i knacker it.

The centre grill pushes out backwards, you need the bumper off. The outer grills just pop out.

To clarify...centre pushes inwards and the outer grills just pull out.

The outer grilles have little recessed grabs handles on the underside of the painted horizontal moulding bit - feel with your fingers to find out, take a firm grip and pull (and fall over backwards when they release free!!)

If you dont have an FMIC you will be able to get the middle one out with out taking the bumper off... and if you buying a replacmnet you will be able to put that on again with out taking the bumper off

Ok, understood, but how?

Don't understand the "lateral" terms of Milotec!

on the vRS all the grilles can be removed without taking the bumper off... i know cause i've now got the Milotec grille set on mine.

middle grill needs to be pushed inwards, turned to an angle and removed.

side grilles as above... take hold and PULL !

The Milotec middle grill, it fixes differently according to their "blurb", is this a cake-walk job also?

slip it in as per the instructions then slide your hand down the back side of the bumper and press it into place... obviously with a FMIC you wont be able to get your hands in so you'll need to use something to pull the grille into place from the outside.

Roger again, 26

No need for pliers in the void then.

No need at all - I fitted a set if Milotec front grilles in five minutes in the street outside work :)
