Had anyone retro-fitted the A pillar trims with extra tweeters?

 

I have a 64 plate Citigo Elegance with the standard 2 speaker setup. There seem to be a lot of A pillar trims on eBay from breakers complete with the extra tweeters. However none seen to come with the wiring to connect them. 

 

I was wondering -are they connected to the door speakers or are they connected directly to the head unit? 

 

I'd appreciate any pointers please

 

 

I bought component speakers for our up!. I use existing wiring to the door. Something like this:

I went with Rockford Fosgate, if you don’t bother with the factory a pillars I reckon the job is easier. That are supplied with crossover and wiring but you still need to get a plug for the loom and new mounts as in the article linked above.
