Outside Car Covers

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Looking to buy a 2nd car as a project. This would only be driven in dry conditions, and do a few thousand miles a year.

The car would be living outside (no garage unfortunately).

Is a car cover the way forward here? If so, any recommendations? Not bothered if quite pricey, just want the right one.

Thanks in advance

Nick

The problem with outside car covers is that they can damage paintwork when windy or if the car has got any dirt on it when you put the cover on can scratch paintwork.

They can also trap moisture.

I did hear this. Do you think it's better to go without? and just make sure the car is fully waxed etc and kept on top of?
