How did you activate it?  App or do it yourself?

Obdeleven app

That could be the issue.

Loads of reports of thing not being activated correctly with these cheaper tools.

I am new to all of this stuff

From what I've read on here, OBDEleven is a little touch-and-go on whether the adjustments you do, will actually work or not.

If you want to make sure the adjustments work, let somebody with VCDS and the knowledge how to use it do them for you.

It might cost some money, but you'll be sure they're don correctly, and you won't get funny error messages and the like.

The fault code says it cannot communicate with the auto high beam assist control module. At a guess, your car does not have this module fitted, so although you enabled it in another module,  the canbus can't find it.

I think HBA requires the windscreen camera to be fitted as well.

Another explanation is that sometimes enabling functions require two or more things to be changed or enabled.

Use the rollback feature of OBD11 to get rid of the error (which I presume it has).

Correct

Do you ‘A5' listed in your controllers?

HBA does indeed require several adaptations that need changing.

That would be my guess too. I enabled HBA using the OBDeleven app and have had no error messages.

The problem with roll-back via the app is that (IIRC) it takes 100 credits to take it back, just as it did to enable it. But as long as the lights are working normally there shouldn't be a problem in the meantime I guess if the OP needs to wait until he has enough credit to reverse the original change.

I harp on about this in the Octavia section but you’re asking for trouble using the apps to change things. You’ve no idea what is being changed. Coding things yourself isn’t difficult. It also gives you the opportunity to dry run through all the changes to make sure you can follow all the steps. a history log of changes is also created when coding/adapting manually.

Ive had zero issues using OBDeleven and I put that down to learning how to perform changes manually. That way I know what’s going on.
