Wet Boot

Featured Replies

Whenever I leave my vrs outside in the rain and open the boot anything that is in the boot gets showered by a litre or so of water that seems to run off the rear window. Is this usual, anyone got any ideas on a solution??

this is very annoying but very normal... its a major design flaw with the octy hatch... could try some rubber beading down each side

There is a solution, don't throw the boot open. Open it halfway and hold it for a very short moment then continue to open the boot. Simple problem solved.

:iagree: May seem odd, but its a design fault - you get used to it after a while (although not until you've got water in your speakers a couple of times  )

Top flaw!

OC-quattro's right...

I've got a rag handy in the boot. Open the boot half way. Wait and watch. Wipe with rag. Admire massive boot....

Thanks chaps, the rag sounds like the viable option. My last car was a well specced new shape Renault Megane, this had more design flaws than you could imagine so if this is the worst the occy can throw at me then I am happy!
