Potential boost leak? VRS SE

Featured Replies

So yesterday I put the egr delete kit on because I had a minor oil and boost leak from the coupler on the asv oil leak sorted however I still hear a turbo dumping sound and loud sucking sound from inside the car at first I thought it was that leaking coupler (oh how wrong I was EGR had been mapped out anyway so wanted to blank it properly)

I do have an FMIC but I can't see any leaks or any oil around the joints what else could cause this? It definitely feels like a boost leak its down on power sooting bad and still sounds like a boost leak thoughts and opinions folks?

The only way to find out for sure would be to pull the bumper jack it up a bit and inspect the joints. You can also pressure test it and spray water or liquid around the joins and see if it bubbles.

Would it be okay to use a smoke machine then pressure test it?

Yer i don't see that being an issue.
