diesel dv

Featured Replies

can i upgrade my dv on my furby vrs. if not wot can i do apart from jabba which is planned for next year

I have heard that you can fit a dv to a diesel, but 1. They are expensive. It is electronic as there is no vacuum as such to run a dv, and 2. They don't really give you any increase in power, so it is an expensive mod just to get people to look at you as you go past. think I may have to get one then! ;)

sounds good to me but have expensive are they? rough guess

Just done a google search on diesel dump valves. Up came a company called allard turbo sport who are into diesel tuning. They do a complete kit for 220 which ain't as bad as I first thought! The vacuum comes from the brake servo and there is a relay for throttle on and off so that it knows when to release!

There is another that I have heard of that uses a bailey single piston dv, but can't find anything on this at the moment! As soon as i find it, I shall let you know! :)

that sound intersting but i think it will have to wait i want to jabba it first

Will give you the cool dump valve sounds etc but as Graeme said, absolutely no increase in power as the TDi doesnt have a throttle as such.

Have heard a 306 Dturbo with one fitted though and i must admit it sounded quite convincing!

Just recieved an e-mail from the second company. they say that the dump vavle has not been developed for the pd engines yet, so probably would not work! :(

Oh well. Looks like I'll have to use the silent and stealthy approach to suprising everybody................

...................Jabba power! :D

Noooooo dump valves.. sound soo wrong on a diesel!
