I've got the fault code 05746 coming up but can't find what it means. No engine light on and seemingly no issues. Any ideas on what it means?

Is it code 005746? I believe that's a fault related to cooling fan. 

Think youre right as I used another app that shows a fault 

P1672 Coolant Fan Control 1: Open or Short to Ground

Just need to work out what tbat is as the fan seems to work.

 

Found the problem. The main connector to the fans was corroded and falling apart. The fault code has cleared, but i cant get the fans to run. The car gets to normal temp and just stays there without calling for the fans. 

Is there a way to fool the fans into running at a lower temp?

Now need a new plug 1J0 906 444.

 

Switch on the A/C. Once the refrigerant gets up to a certain pressure, the fans should start up. Check fuses if not, the corrosion may have shorted the feed and blown one.

Cant do that as my aircon is empty.
