Digital Service Plan - My Skoda App (iOS)

Featured Replies

Hi all, new to the forum and the world of vRS. Can anyone tell me how long it takes for a service to show up in the digital service plan in the my Skoda app?

I had a service carried out on the 8th june, (the first under my ownership) by the official Skoda agent, in the app I can see all previous services prior to me owning the car all done by the same garage as that did the most recent one.

They told me there usually is a delay but couldn’t tell me how long that is.

I thought it would be instant since it’s an online record?

Any help most appreciated.

I would have expected an overnight or at the end of the week. If they only upload the records once per month, though.... I'd wait another week until the end of the month and then push them.

Instant it won't be - it would need to be uploaded to their database and then pushed to the app one, which isn't really urgent, per se, so I'd be surprised if that's more than once per week.

Call the service shop and ask. I have so far only one service and it appeared on digital service plan next day or something.

Finally they've put username and password protection in the application. Before VIN was enough, which wasn't enough private in my opinion.

Is this online service info also available if I don't have a smartphone?  Can it be accessed with a PC for instance?

Thanks

I’m not sure mate, I’m new to the Skoda world so maybe someone with more experience will be able to answer that one for you.

My vRS had it's first service on Friday.  So far the "My Skoda" app on my phone hasn't updated to show this.  Currently only the PDI service (GBA Killingholme) is shown on the "Digital Service Schedule".

I've just had a follow-up call from the dealer (Blade, just outside Gloucester) to see if I was happy with the service they provided me on Friday (yes, very happy, thanks).  I did query the lack of the service being on the app so far, and they told me that it can take a few days to appear.  The paperwork that came back with the car on Friday includes a print-out of the car's full service history, and does include Friday's service.

Strange therefore that so far the digital version on my phone hasn't caught up...  Modern technology, eh...?

It took 3 months for the first service on my Octavia in October 2016 to appear on the App, but the second service (2 weeks ago) appeared within a few days.

Seems there's no logic to how long it takes for a service to appear in the App...
