All electric Pike’s Peak

Featured Replies

Mate of mine was driven in a Tesla S a couple of weekends ago. He was very impressed.

He's not a pretrol-head at all he just liked the car. It would actually be his first choice now, if he had the money.

I think The Tesla S is serving it's purpose as a flagship for EVs. It's a showcase of what can be done even now but still with flagship pricing.

EVs might come along soon but what won't come with them will be power generation and upgrading of the grid to cope. Expect your electric bill to go up a lot soon to pay for this. It'll probably go up so much (or some sort of EV tax will) that petrol might not look so expensive again.

These things are never thought out together. The cycles benefit big businesses too much.

What’s the tariff to be applied to Tesla now?.  Too late for the ‘shorts’ ?.

Only a teensy bit OT.

Actually something I found myself wondering in respect to Pikes Peak - How many of the class records have been broken since it was fully tarmaced?

Good question.  No idea but Loeb still stands tall for his effort prior to it being sealed.

Cheers, so all of them except the rarely attempted natural gas and turbine engine classes.
