Hello all!

I have been looking at a website called "maxston designs" to add some detail to my Octavia vrs estate mk3 tsi.

I'm Looking to add a new rear diffuser, side splitters and front splitter and maybe the spoiler cover but can't decide on that yet. Has any one here purchased any of these products, and do you think it would ruin the look of my vrs? Ie make it to boy racer etc.

Many thanks

nah mate it will make it look hard as nails and probably adds 30 more hp, maxton front and sides and rieger towbar diffuser on the rear. And rieger spoiler extension.

That actually looks really nice ! Can you purchase the rieger stuff on eBay? And also do they do the black exhaust tips ?

yes theres an agent in the UK you can find him on ebay and call him direct for a better price.

The tips are the original chrome ones painted with hammerite smooth and they are as good as the day i did them several weeks ago. I didnt even dull the chrome just washed and painted straight on.

You can remove the tips by just taking off the diffuser, this is tricky due to the location of a couple of tricky screws. I would recommend taking the whole rear bumper off as its not a big job then the tips are really easy to get at. Dont waste your money on the black exhaust tips in the shop as the hammerite was £7 a tin and was brilliant.

Okay thankyou, i will check it out. I must say the rieger stuff does look really good on your car and goes well with the grey. Mine is white so I think it would match well with that also.

Makes sense to just buy the paint then, I can't stand chrome, doesn't really match with the car.

Thanks for Your help !

at £50+ per tip you can save yourself a packet doing it yourself with results just as good. Front and sides are Maxton which i will change eventually, and the diffuser and spoiler extension is Rieger tuning.

Yeah defiantly, I will order the paint today I give it a try. Do you have any other mods done to your vrs?

where should i start?

Lower 40mm over standard H&R springs

H&R spacers 20mm/15mm
MTEC coated grooved dimpled brake discs all round and greenstuff pads

added 19 inch 230 edition black extreme wheels

westfalia detachable towbar +rieger diffuser
maxton splitter and side skirts
rear red reflector carbon dipped
Rieger spoiler extension carbon dipped

footwell lights

LED replacement for all halogen bulbs, internal and external

most of the VCDS mods HBS, TSR, etc,

added a reversing camera

gas bonnet struts

DTUK CRDT3+ tuning box 184 to 236bhp
DTUK pedal box +

heko wind delfectors

super skoda roof windscreen/roof deflector

moded the 12V to supply come on with ignition
added a full size spare
twin TDI exhaust (to come)

Actually im running out of stuff, ill probably tackle the ICE and get the MY18 columbus or amundsen MIB2 screen eventually.

I had my exhaust tips powder coated black which works well if you don’t fancy painting them yourself. Cost is minimal as well :)

Rieger diffuser is the one to have IMO ;) it's very subtle but finishes the back end quite nicely.

Wow that is some list!

I'm pretty new to modding, only now I have is fsr+ box by dtuk as mine is petrol. Says it takes it to 300bhp and 450nm. The difference is night and day so happy with that.

Going to start with the splitter, rear diffuser and spoiler tip for detail. Defiantly considering to lower it slightly. Adding the footwell lights seems a good idea? Is this an easy process and what colour did you go for ?

the wiring is a PITA but its simple, just fiddly, small hands help. I just went with white but red or green would be cool seen it done on here. the awkward part is removal of the BCMs at the side of the fuse box (need to wire the pins for the footwell lights) as there is very little space and my hands are quite big. skinned a knuckle on the metal behind the glove box which is sharper than it looks

Did u have to remove the tips and take them to the painter or did they do it all for u? Cheers

I removed them, easy to do. 5 torx screws on each one.
